The Rapide is as close as you can get to all the advantages of a hard top roof tent, with the weight of a softshell! For families who enjoy getting away for the weekend, but don't feel like camping in a traditional tent, we are pleased to offer the SkyPod Rapide.

This roof tent is perfect for a small family weekend away because the 10cm deep mattress can sleep 2-3 people comfortably. The Rapide is an easy roof to set up and take down as it is pitched just by the release of a string. It also features a robust design with a canopy that ensures resilience against various weather conditions.

The Skypod Rapide combines convenience, comfort and style all in one compact package. With a net weight of just 56 kg and a measurement of 2 x 1.4m, it is the middle model of the SkyPod range. The lighter weight of the Rapide model means that it can be fitted onto most vehicle models not just 4x4s. Inside the Rapide is luxurious and roomy, with plenty of height for you to sit upright and look at the view from the panoramic windows. The 10cm deep mattress is made up of density foam and EPE with a skin-friendly thermal cover that offers the utmost comfort. This mattress has been designed to give a home-like feel to your roof tent, and can be left inside your tent even when you pack it down, making it readily available for use next time you set up. The roof tent features a gas-strut mechanism which helps it be popped up and folded down with maximum efficiency, these struts simplify the process so that all you have to do in order to pitch the pod is release the strap from around its catch. The same concept is applied when putting down the Rapide, simply tuck the shoe pockets inside and pull the strap back towards its catch, wrapping the loop around it to secure everything. This model is, as the name suggests, fast and easy to set up and take down. Everything you need to get started using your Skypod is included with the Rapide, like the storage pockets, mattress, ladder and mounting kit. We even include the annexe which is compatible with the Lair and Rapide models, this additional living space is easy to set up. It has 3 doors for simple access, a removable back wall and floor and a full seam tape for water resistance.
