I've listed it as 8 berth as the main sleeping compartment is for four people - 2 double beds that fold out on either side of the main trailer with space beneath each for a double pup tent. One of these pup is supplied although we never used it.
The other was missing when we bought it. We used both under spaces for storage so never bothered to replace it.. The main sleeping area is in an interior tent at the rear. It's really comfortable and you can pull zipped curtains down for extra privacy if you want. The extra insulation made it much warmer than an ordinary tent, as did being up off the ground for sleeping. There's inbuilt storage cupboards underneath cushions next to the beds - they're- great for keeping everything tidy whilst also providing extra seating. It comes with a kitchen sink literally! And a small grill with 2 hobs for cooking.
There's a small wooden collapsible table (not pictured) as well, plus a separate toilet or changing room compartment too, and a large ground sheet for the living area. There's loads of room inside the tent for extra items if you have them - we easily fitted our camping tables and chairs inside with room to spare.
The whole tent has windows and curtains that you can pull back to let the daylight in, and draw at night for added privacy. The kitchen unit attaches to the trailer itself when in transit or storage. The trailer also has a good sized, lockable storage box attached. The trailer is in good condition with plenty of tread on the tyres, and comes with roof bars and an overhead storage bo.
With all the storage space you could easily keep the trailer stocked and ready to go. The trailer has been stored in our garage over winter. When we used it last year it was completely waterproof and leak free and you can see where previous owners have patched a small area. This year the rain found its way in.
But to be fair we were camping on the worst site we'd EVER been to. The ground was so uneven we couldn't get the frame secured or level. And to top it off we had 60mph winds and rain. The ground was so uneven it was causing the the canvas to dip in certain spots that filled with rain water and this is where the rain came in. Although I do believe if we had just packed up and found a better site it wouldnt have been an issue. But I genuniely believe the issues we had were site related and easily remedied.
Comes with a full set of poles, most (though not all) of which have springs so that you can fit them together relatively easily, plus tent pegs and chocks. Curtains and interior tents/linings then attach to the poles using clips. Assembling the tent is a two person job and we highly recommend watching a Youtube video the first time you do it and spending a couple of hours practicing somewhere. Don't do what I did and leave it until arriving at the site to figure it out. That kind of thing will really test a marriage! Once up though the frame is extremely sturdy and can withstand high winds. Collection only and is ready for collection any time - get in quick before the summer completely ends!
