Vango Rome 550XL Family Tent. The Vango Rome II 550xl is a popular three-zone tent offering a superb design with full standing height, and space to sleep up to five people. The Rome is partially inflatable, with the main tent counting on thick airbeams for structure and the side annex using lightweight fibreglass poles.

A Single Point Inflation valve is included on the first beam, which allows campers to fully inflate the tent in around 15 minutes, each beam can still be individually inflated if necessary, and the intelligent one-way air system ensures efficient pitching. The built-in side annex comes complete with a zipped curtain, allowing you to store or hide gear when it is no longer needed.

The Rome also features two large Midnight Bedrooms, a darkened material ideal for young children or late risers, whilst also reducing the temperature during peak summer time, these bedrooms are also slightly larger than average and split down the middle to create a three berth pod and a two berth pod, perfect for small families or friends sharing space. This three-zone tent offers a large zipped awning to the front, ideal for cooking or relaxing outdoors, as well as a spacious living area to the middle of the tent, large enough for furniture or storage, a separate side entrance also features a rain cover which protects campers entering or leaving the tent during wet weather. The Rome is finished in a lovely Moroccan Blue colour and offers a great level of waterproofing on an eco-friendly recycled polyester, using recycled plastic bottles to reduce harm on the environment, whilst also providing a wonderful family shelter throughout the camping season. The Rome can be used quite comfortably throughout spring and summer and is straightforward to pitch and deflate, perfect for short or long term camping trips.

Manufactured using recycled bottles, the Rome II is made with approximately 279 plastic bottles, to help manufacture in a more friendly manner for the environment. The beams can be individually inflated, or inflated from one point on the front of the shelter. Simply plug in an electric pump, peg the tent down, and sit back and allow the Rome II to inflate in roughly ten minutes. Each polyester fabric is prone to fading after UV degradation, but the Colourlok design ensures the tent will not fade to a different colour from the original colour, and helps to protect the lifespan of the tent.
