A GREAT FAMILY TENT FOR THE SUMMER! Apart from the size and space this tent affords, one of the major positives for me, is that it's made of polycotton and not nylon, which makes it reassuringly waterproof - I even tested it by squirting at the seams with my garden hose and not a drop of water got in... It's really excellent for a cosy camping experience. Blurb on polycotton tents: "Polycotton becomes more waterproof after being exposed to water for the first time, a process called "weathering. When the cotton fibres in the fabric get wet, they swell and become denser, naturally sealing the fabric's pores and stitch holes to create a better barrier against water penetration. This effect can be accelerated by intentionally wetting the fabric with a hose before its first use, and it will improve over time with each rain exposure. Polycotton tents offer several key advantages, including excellent breathability, durability, and thermal regulation, making them a popular choice for camping. They excel at reducing condensation, maintaining a comfortable temperature inside, and withstanding UV damage. However, they are typically heavier and more expensive than polyester alternatives.

The tent comes with the zip-in footprint/groundsheet, three bedrooms, two carpets and the optional "vestibule" which attaches onto the front of the tent, to complete the giant cocoon effect. It also comes with pegs, extra groundsheets for the vestibule area and all of the poles. If you're in the market for a capacious, cosy, waterproof tent, then this might be your thing. We haven't camped in it since 2019 and it has been stored in the house, in a dry space under the stairs. We unfurled it in the garden on a sunny day last week and it's still in really good condition - no mould or unexpected surprises.

It is LARGE, even when packed away. When I bought this, I managed to get it into my Rover 75 saloon but I would recommend an estate car with the back seats down or a van or small trailer. I would recommend that two people carry the tent, or one very strong person. Please see pics of it when packed away, to get an idea of its size. The video was shot a few years ago when I bought the tent but it's still in a similar condition and has been used about half a dozen times during my ownership.
