Vango Tigris 800 8 berth tent for sale, including an original Vango footprint and carpet. This is a fantastic tent, ideal for families or large groups with bedrooms at either end and a central living space.

Very similar to the Longleat 800 that is currently for sale in Argos. We bought this tent a few years ago and used it for several holidays as a family of four - we slept in the 4 berth bedroom at one end with a double and two single inflatable mattresses. We used the two separate bedrooms at the other end for storage (one for clothes, one for food/cooking utensils etc).

We have also used it without the twin bedrooms so that the front could be opened up on the king poles to make a very large airy living space. We picked this tent as it had such good head height, even in the bedrooms, ideal for my husband who is 6 foot 2! Unfortunately our camping holidays were cut short due to my husband's health, but we have used the tent several times since then for summer garden camping - it has held up fabulously in all weather conditions including downpours without leaking. It has always been cleaned and dried thoroughly before being packed away, and has been stored safely in our loft. We are non-smokers and always did our cooking outside of the tent. We last used the tent three years ago which is when I took the photos please excuse the washing on the line! - it has taken me until now to finally accept that it needs a new home. Although this tent is used it is in superb condition and has been well cared for as can be seen in the photos - which are of our own tent in our own garden (not stock images). Hopefully you can see everything you need to from the pictures as I tried to show all the important bits and different angles. The footprint is fabulous for getting the position of your tent where you want it and for keeping the underneath of the groundsheet clean and dry.

I washed and dried the carpet thoroughly the last time we used it so it's as good as new. Fully sewn-in bathtub groundsheet (to keep the creepy-crawlies out). Groundsheet can be folded down at doorways to prevent tripping during the day.

Interchangeable bedrooms with plenty of pocket storage (one 4 berth which has a removable middle divider, and two 2 berth bedrooms) - these can be used at either end for flexibility. Fully opening end door with king poles/guy lines. Access doors on both sides - one with a fly screen and one that can be raised on poles to use as a canopy for cooking etc. Side windows with vents and roll down shades. Removable hanging and side pocket storage in living area. Loads of side pockets in all the bedrooms. Electricity access point, cable guides and hanging point for lighting. Colour coded poles and colour coded bedroom connections for easy of assembly. Comes with pegs, guy lines and matching repair patches. As with all used tents a few minor repairs have been needed. Small hole in groundsheet caused by an unseen stone the first time we used the tent - this was repaired and has never leaked. Slight pulling of the seam to the side of one bedroom where my husband lost his balance, it has been repaired and reinforced. Small tear to the exterior overlap at the bottom of one door, this isn't structural and has been repaired. When we checked over the tent we noticed that one of the poles was separating slightly at the seam so we have reinforced it. Tiny circular hole in flysheet which seems to be a from a small insect that was accidentally packed away with the tent - it is barely noticeable so we have just left it and it hasn't caused any trouble. I just wanted to mention these things so you are aware that there have been bits and bobs that have been taken care of. The only other thing we noticed is that one of the corner loops on the footprint pulled off, but it still works fine without it. This has genuinely been a lovely tent to own and we are very reluctant to give it away, but since putting it up the last time it has just been packed away not being used - it has been stored for 3 years so will probably need an airing out. I would recommend putting the tent up at home before taking it away to get the hang of it, but I can send you a link to a video of how to put it up and take it down again. We didn't see the video before trying to erect the tent the first time and snapped a pole - this was been replaced so we will include the broken one for spares. We replaced some of the original pegs with new ones from Go Outdoors but it would be worth checking that there are sufficient before use (I have tried to find a number online to check but can't find that information anywhere). Unfortunately we are no longer physically able to put the tent up to check for sure. Collection is from Newbold, Chesterfield S41.
